Cap and End Drying Ovens dry the sealing compound on aluminum or steel can ends and caps for the 2 or 3 piece beverage, aerosol, and food can industries.
End Drying Ovens will allow for a low temperature cure to eliminate a blistered compound on can ends, guaranteeing a cure rate of 90-95%. End Drying Ovens are capable of producing up to 4,000 Ends per Minute (EPM) and accommodate a range of 202 to 610 diameter.
Cap Drying Ovens convey the cap horizontally guaranteeing a uniform compound thickness. The Cap drying oven boasts superior temperature uniformity and produces up to 4,000 Caps Per Minute (CPM). Our featured synthetic belt results in a 25%* decrease in cap heat up time, 40% decrease in energy consumption compared to a metal belt, and eliminates metal fines.
Vertical Cap Drying Ovens convey the cap vertically while keeping the cap in a horizontal position to guarantee a uniform compound thickness. The vertical configuration reduces the equipment footprint by 50%. The conveyor system creates positive cap separation and prevents marring. The universal cap holder will accommodate multiple cap diameters.
